We don't do sockets anymore, we had too much trouble with them.
We will solder in a new ROM chip though. Order at:
http://store.raqware.com/cgi-bin/shopper.cgi?keywords=ROMS&search=action
You need to send the Mother Board to address in sig.

From an email date Jan 1, 2003

The charge is $175 for one EEPROM and $200 for two EEPROMs.
( some people wanted one with RaQ4 firmware and one with 550 since there is a socket they can change them.)

It requires the use of approximately $2500.00 worth of equipment.

  • Hot air tool
  • TSOP fitting for hot air tool.
  • EEPROM programmer.
  • TSOP Adapter for EEPROM Programmer.

We allow 1 hour to remove the EEPROM clean the PCB apply solder paste, solder the $25.00 socket to the board, and clean the PCB again.
Another hour to program EEPROM and test the MB.

On good days it takes less time, on bad days more time.
